About Brittany
Fashion, to me, has never just been about clothes. It’s about identity.
Some of my earliest memories are spending time in my mom’s closet — trying on heels that were far too big for me, swiping on her red lipstick, wrapping myself in leopard-print coats, completely mesmerized by the transformation. I loved the ritual of it all. The intention. The confidence. The drama. I loved the way fashion could change how you felt before you ever said a word.
Growing up, I thought I wanted to become a fashion designer. I spent countless hours sketching looks in art class, customizing everything I owned, sewing patches onto my bags, adding pink lettering to the back of my high school varsity jacket, experimenting constantly with silhouettes, heels, bold accessories, short haircuts — anything that felt expressive and alive. I was endlessly inspired by beautiful things and obsessed with discovering niche brands online in the early days of internet shopping.
But life took me somewhere unexpected.
Growing up in Michigan, practicality mattered to me. So did independence. I was strong in math and problem solving, and I chose engineering because it gave me stability and options. I built a successful career in the male-dominated industries of automotive and tech — spaces where, for a long time, femininity often felt like something you had to minimize in order to be taken seriously.
There was a period where I stopped dressing like myself entirely.
The heels disappeared. The experimentation disappeared. That creative part of me became smaller and quieter over time.
And then slowly, over the years, I found my way back.
Trips to Paris. Nights spent completely immersed in runway archives, design classes, and sewing courses. Rediscovering the thrill of experimentation. Realizing I could show my true colors to the world — and not only still be taken seriously, but feel even more confident and powerful because of it.
What I realized is that I never truly wanted to design clothes. What I loved — and what I had always loved — was the art of putting everything together. Creating a feeling. Telling a story through styling. The tension between glamour and edge, polish and personality, vintage and modern. The emotional side of fashion.
That’s what Britt Styled was born from.
I approach styling with deep intention and obsession over detail. I care about how a look photographs, how it moves, the history behind the brands, the message a silhouette sends before someone even speaks. I love helping people create looks that feel cohesive, unexpected, powerful, sensual, playful, and entirely transformative — but most importantly, authentic to them. Because there’s something really powerful about feeling like the outside version of you finally matches what you’ve always envisioned and dreamed about internally.
My styling perspective is shaped by years of studying fashion imagery, vintage archives, runway history, luxury craftsmanship, impeccable tailoring, and the emotional impact of personal style. I’m endlessly inspired by archival Yves Saint Laurent glamour, the sculptural elegance of Alaïa, the confidence and sensuality of Mugler, Schiaparelli surrealism, liquid-metal Armani moments, and ultimately by the women who fully inhabit the world they’re building around themselves.
Great style isn’t just about wearing beautiful things.
It’s about becoming the version of yourself you’ve always wanted to step into.
The Philosophy
Britt Styled exists to create looks that feel cinematic, intentional, and deeply personal — styling that goes beyond getting dressed, but becomes part of who you are and your unique story.
Every look is approached through the lens of narrative: the energy of the event, the environment, the history behind the pieces, and the identity of the woman. Whether sourcing vintage Yves Saint Laurent for a Paris dinner, building a powerful Ferrari-event look, or creating effortless vacation vibes, the goal is always the same: to make the wearer feel uniquely themselves, elevated through thoughtful styling that feels collected rather than consumed.
Fashion is treated as a language and emotional memory. A dress is not just a dress — it carries references, craftsmanship, history, and a story. Here, styling is rooted in an obsession with texture, silhouette, tone, archival fashion, and the subtle details that make a look feel sophisticated and unforgettable.
The philosophy behind Britt Styled blends Parisian fashion with modern California ease — luxe but never stiff, feminine but powerful, polished without losing individuality. Every look is designed to feel aligned with the setting and the story, with the woman at the center of it.
The best styling does more than photograph well — it creates presence, confidence, and a lasting attachment to the moments that matter most.
